Science - Today we discussed rocks and their properties.  Several students commented they had rocks and gems at home.  If they would like to bring them in tomorrow we will share. 
HW: None

Reading - We discussed text connections.  There are three types: text-to-self, text-to-text and text-to-world.  We made connections and then listened to a story and discussed the connections we had made.  The vocabulary words this week are:

HW: Vocabulary sentences and Good Manners worksheet to be signed

Math - We took our test today. 
HW: None

Writing - We reviewed similes, metaphors and idioms.  We then talked about Adages.  They were a lot harder than they expected.
