FYI:
School all week!
Reading:
Today we continued with referring to details and identifying the main idea.  Students worked in small groups on informational texts.  Students also received their leveled vocab. lists.  Tests will be on FRIDAYS and they will need to know the spelling of the word and be able to use it in a sentence.
HW:
complete vocab. (SAT group: definitions, WW4 group: 1B section only, Synonyms group: complete sheet)

Writing:
We began our new unit today on anti-bullying!  The kids were great today with discussions and participation.  We read several real-life articles on bullying and did some interactive work on the smartboard.  Students wrote different prompts in their Writer's Notebooks.

Math:
We worked on word problems and identifying key words.  Students worked on one of the following skills with this - mult., div., add., sub.  Students also worked on place value in the millions with word form and digit value.  *Test will be FRIDAY.

SS:
Today we went to the computer lab and worked on a Landforms WebQuest.  The student's did a really good job with this, since for most it was their first time doing a webquest!  We did not get to complete this today, but we will tomorrow!
