Literacy Block:
Science LO: I can infer an environment by looking at the found fossils.
Activity: We created 4 layers of sediment and had partners write about that they found using evidence based terms.
SS LO: I can explain what early KY settlers found when they came to KY.  I can explain conflict with the early KY settlers.
Activity: We read about different settlement patterns and used our speaking and listening standards to create a really good discussion!  Students also read different parts of the settlement pattern and answered some tough comprehension questions - as I explained to the kids, no more seek-and-find answers in intermediate!! :)  Students did a nice job explaining and discussing as a whole class.
Writing LO: I can create correct sentences using effective punctuation. I can take notes by listening to non fiction oral reading.
Activity: We wrote a lot about our inferences and opinions today with SS and Science.

HW: vocab. - write sentences with words

Math:
Today we took our Math test.  Some kids will finish tomorrow.
