Science:
Today we worked on food chains.  We discussed why all things need energy, talked about producers, consumers, and decomposers.  Students were to make 2 different food chains using their science words to label.
HW: finish food chains posters if not finished in class, EVERYONE: pg. 156-159 in KCCT book - read and answer the questions on a separate sheet of paper

Reading:
Today students took their first reading assessment over things we've learned so far (summarizing, key details, theme).  Then they were able to read 2 chapters in their lit. groups.
HW: answer their "after reading" question in their reading response journals

Math:
Today we took the pre-test for Ch. 3.  Students will receive their tests tomorrow with an extra credit sheet attached to it if they received a C or below. We also played Around the World.  This unit will be on multiplication and division. PLEASE try to help your child memorize the facts at home!

Writing:
Today we read for a while, had a severe weather drill, and then worked on finding the difference in there, their, and they're. We'll be working on this each day this week!
