*MAP math test for my homeroom is TOMORROW! Please remind kids to do their best!

Science:
Students presented their review posters from yesterday and then we took a quiz.  I haven't graded them yet...hopefully they did well! We also started learned and inherited traits.

Reading:
Students worked in small leveled groups on main idea and key details on short texts.  Students did a good job with this.  Students were also given extra time to read Frindle so we can get this book finished soon!

Math:
Today we continued working on factors and making factor rainbows.  We also learned about Prime and Composite numbers through our factor rainbows.  STUDENTS NEED TO PRACTICE MULTIPLICATION FACTS DAILY.

Writing:
Today we continued to work on personal narratives by brainstorming a smaller selection of memories we would like to write about as well as reading other personal narratives and talking about what we like about them. 
Students also got to meet and talk with Mrs. Brady, my long-term sub.  She was able to stay all afternoon and help with the students as well as get to know them more! I am truly hoping for an easy transition.
