Welcome 2011-2012 Students!

I'm looking forward to meeting with you!! :) I can't wait to meet each one of you during Open House on August 4th!

This BLOG is designed to help the parent keep up with what we're doing and learning in class, as well as special events.  Students are also able to use this blog to help with learning resources, schedules, and reminders about homework!

Please take a few minutes and do the following things for me:
1. Please look to the RIGHT of this blog and find where it asks for you to enter your email address.  After you enter this, each time I post a new blog it will be automatically emailed to you so you won't forget to read!
2. Please "bookmark" or "favorite" this blog on your work computer or home computer.
3. Please take a look on the RIGHT at the different links I have.  Look through each and get familiar with our policies in the 4th grade, what our classroom looks like, and some other interesting facts and games.

**Since you were not able to see our classroom on Thursday, please feel free to stop by and view before next Thursday! I will be in and out of the classroom from now until the first day of school for PD's. I know how important it is for you to see where your child will spend his/her days!! :)

Friday~Last Day of 2010-2011 School Year

Can you believe it's the LAST day of 4th grade! It was flown by for me...has it you?

I've really enjoyed this year and getting to know each on of your children.  Each child holds a special place in my heart and I will never forget them.  Thank you for letting me spend so much time with your child over the course of the year.

I hope you all have a wonderful and enjoyable summer!!!!

Thursday!

Can you believe there is only 1 more day of 4th grade?! This year has flown by!

Things to Remember:
*Report Cards will be sent home on Friday (or mailed, I haven't been told yet)
*4th grade 9 weeks Awards is tomorrow at 12:15 in the gym
*Summer Packets went home yesterday with conference packets if you were unable to attend a conference

Today we had another fun day! Our behavior incentive was actually given at 8:15 this morning instead of the afternoon because of the heat! We played a class kickball game with Ms. Timaji! It was really fun and all the kids did great!

We also worked on multiplication and division today.  But the most fun thing was the Talent Show! It was so cute! We have LOTS of great singers, back-up dancers, dribblers, drummers, mathematicians, etc. in our class! They showcased a lot of talent for sure! :)

Wednesday

No Wednesday Folders today! They will be sent home on Friday with summer info. from the office.

*What to look for:
Your child cleaned out his/her desk for the most part today.  They will be bringing home folders and workbooks.  Please look through those before discarding! :)
Your child will also be bringing home his/her Summer Work Packet.  There are 3 parts to this packet.  If 1 part is completed your child will receive a prize, for the entire packet completed, the prize will be bigger.

Today we worked in small groups to write plays with story elements: plot, characters, narrators, problem/solution, etc.  They were really creative and cute!

We also reviewed all of 4th grade math.  Students did a pretty good job on this!

Lastly, we worked on word work and had our incentive for today: ice cream sandwiches!
