Science - We learned about earthquakes and volcanoes and how they change the earth. 
HW: None

Reading - We learned the components of non-fiction.  We then completed an assignment identifying characteristics of fiction, non-fiction, play and poetry.  We did not have time for Lit Groups.  The vocabulary words this week are:

heading          foundation          crumble          photograph          squeeze          timber
leaning           whisper              extreme          temporary            evidence        laughter
HW: Use first half of words in sentences.

Math - We continued work on graphs. Today we went over tables.
HW: Domino multiplication and book fair table sheet to be signed


Writing - We learned about similes and metaphors.  After a PowerPoint we completed a worksheet.   
HW: Complete worksheet if not finished in class.
