FYI:
*Our Chik Fil A/PAW party is tomorrow! If you can, we'd love some drinks for the kids! Also - PJ day for the kids!

Reading:
We continued working on poems.  Students found that poetry has a setting, theme, and sometimes a problem/solution.  Students worked on some really fun poems and a few difficult poems, too! They did a great job remembering and using their poetry characteristics terms while talking about the poems.  Students also had 20 minutes of word study with their vocab. words - test tomorrow!  Lastly, kids worked on lit. circle readings while I pulled fluency and comprehension checks.
HW: study for vocab. test tomorrow!!!

Writing:
Ms. Wilham continued with similes and added metaphors.  Kids made similes to model after themselves! They were really cute.  Students will be assessed on this Monday.
No HW

Math:
Today we worked more on 4 digit multiplication and adding in the 'why's' to the multiplication order.  Students rotated between meeting with me, Ms. Wilham, and working on a game called Roll & Multiply! You can play with your child if you have a dice at home!! Ask your kid! 
Challenge group: we worked a little more on order of operations and then we worked on estimating answers with multiplication

Students worked on finding the differences/similarities on the senate and house of representatives through reading an article and making a venn diagram with a small group.
