Wednesday!

Good Afternoon!
The kids were great again today! Please check their marking on the behavior chart. ANYTHING above a "ready to learn" is GREAT!!!!

Morning Work:
Students were given individualized math work to help challenge their needs.  If it is not finished, they have this as HW!

Reading:
We continued our learning target on Referring To Details. Students were in their individualized groups working on this skill on different fictional text.  Students were also able to try out lit. circles today after going over our expectations.  We are all reading the same text as a way to model expectations.  After next week, students will be in individual Lexiled groups.  We also worked on nouns today.
HW: complete article and questions if NOT finished in class

Writing:
We continued learning the writer's process through our friendly letters to Mr. Brehm.  Students are doing well working in collaborative groups with this.

Math:
We continued with the skill of place value.  Today we reviewed the 3 forms and then began working on comparing/ordering numbers.  Several students actually had a harder time with this than expected, so we will continue with this lesson tomorrow.  All needs are being met whether it is through a small group, more difficult numbers, or smaller numbers to succeed the standard.

SS: Students took a mini quiz over the 7 continents.  We also began learning about landforms and the students are working on a rap/rhyme/song to share and remember the information!
