**Ms. Wilham was out again today, so I taught the kids! I loved having them all to myself! haha :)
Literacy Block LO's:
SS: I can explain early daily life of KY settlers.
Activity: We completed the Webquest today. WOW, I mean, WOW! The kids were SO good during this. They really enjoyed the Ft. Boonesborough website. It really is a neat one! Kids also worked very well together. On everyone's personal "Partner Grading Scale" almost all the kids scored each other perfect. Is that a feat or what?! :) We also tied in our SS with our writing today...

Writing: I can use proper sentence structure to create a Dear Diary journal entry.
Activity: Through using the website, students read, watched videos, and looked through pictures about all kinds of jobs and daily living early KY settlers did. Students used their imaginations along with their creative writing skills and created a journal entry as if they were an early KY settler living in the time. They used their editing skills wisely today and most of the kids only needed 1 revision before writing on our 'old' paper!
No HW
Reading: I can compare 1st and 3rd point of views and relate those to 1st and 2nd hand accounts.
Activity: We used a few different text to help find key vocab. words for us to spot when we detect a 1st POV or 3rd POV. The kids did great and I helped a lot and then a little towards the end. They were wonderful!

VOCAB - spell words tonight!!
We did not have science today.
Math: I can correctly complete a multiplicative comparison.
Activity: Today we worked on a Smartboard lesson with multiplicative comparisons. Students were AMAZING with this! We did several word problems with drawings and I was impressed. Students also created one of their own.
